I'm finally getting back to blogging after 3 years. You might ask me why, well, there are a lot of reasons. Firstly, I'm inspired by blogs with interesting and useful posts, and I had a hard time researching for places to go for the 2 summer trips that I went. So, I wanna help others through my experiences. Secondly, I somehow stumbled upon my old blog and I realised how useful blogging is in retaining my memories. Last but not least, I'm in this 'writing' mode, especially with all these ideas streaming in from the 2 travels I had this summer break. Travelling is not all that I'm gonna talk about; I will also post about the goodies (food, places, activities) that Singapore has to offer, my thoughts on random stuffs etc. I hope it will be entertaining and useful to you. I'm so excited! Please look forward to my weekly posts and provide me feedbacks:)
---------------------------------------------------
The above is just an introduction to my new blog. For my first post, I'm gonna do a comparison between my old and new blog. It serves as an expectation of this new blog too.
OLD
|
NEW
|
It was a childish journal of a teenager.
|
It will be a blog about experiences, adventures and matured
thoughts.
|
You know, young kids have a thing for fanciful stuffs, so there
were a lot of colours, Singlish, bolded, italics, underlined
and striked off words. (not forgetting
chat boxes and blog skins)
|
Simplicity is beauty.
|
Another point about fanciful, abbreviations and colloquialism were
very trendy at that time.
|
For easier reading and understand, abbreviations will be explained
or even minimised.
|
Being a journal, the audience was just me (and maybe a few others
whom I wanted to dedicate the post to).
|
The target audience is all netizens, so the words used will be
more interactive and engaging. The message to be brought across would be more
general.
|
Despite all these changes, I would still stick to the
no-vulgarities policy. Maturity doesn’t mean vulgarities.
|
Yep! Thanks for reading the first post! I will be posting about my Phuket trip next, which is likely to be broken down into 2 or 3 parts. Seeya!
LOL (Lots of Love),
Jensylee
